From Clonakilty

Take the Timoleague road (R600) for approximately 2km; then, following the signposts for the Centre, take the second road to the left (L8085-27). Continue on that road for 1.6km until you reach the Centre. Travel time from Clonakilty town to the Centre is 8 minutes.

From Cork City

Take the N71 to West Cork for approximately 50km; just before entering Clonakilty town, take the Timoleague road (R600) on your left and follow the directions above. Travel time from Cork City to the Centre is 55 minutes.

From Kinsale

Take the R600 towards Clonakilty, after passing Timoleague village continue on the R600; after approximately 3km, follow the signpost for the Centre by taking the road on the right (L8085-27). Continue on that road for 1.6km and follow our signposts until you reach the Centre. Travel time from Kinsale to the Centre is 40 minutes.

Is the facility wheelchair friendly?

All areas in and around the Museum is fully wheelchair accessible & toilet is located near reception.

Is the museum suitable for children?

Museum is suitable for all children that are comfortable to sit down and listen for up to 1 hour. They cannot run around while the presentation is on at the museum. There’s another indoor exhibition as well as outdoor areas for running around in!

How long should I allow for a visit?

We recommend 1.5-2 hours per visit to allow the visitor time to enjoy the presentation, the brief on the memorabilia and to explore the outside section of full size replicas of armoured car, troop truck and touring car.

Is there a coffee shop on site?

No hot refreshments. Shop stocked with cold drinks, snacks, books & souvenirs

Is there parking on site?

Yes car/bus parking available at no extra cost.
